Beaches, Lochs & Rivers
If your dog is a water baby, then they’re going to love visiting Brora. As a small coastal village, we’re home to two beautiful unspoiled golden sand beaches. Take a gentle stroll down both strips of sand, bring a frisbee or your dog’s favourite ball, stop for a leisurely picnic and go for a splash in the crisp blue sea.
To discover more local beaches, take a look at our beaches section.
There are more places to go than the beach to get your dog their water fix. Scotland is home to over 30,000 lochs and there are some pretty great ones close by. Loch Brora is truly beautiful all year round and has plenty of footpaths and cycle tracks for both you and your dog to enjoy.
The River Brora is another beautiful walk that you and your dog can meander along. Flowing from Loch Brora, the river stretches southwards alongside scenic woodland areas. Take a wander down the picturesque river and let your pup jump in and out of the water – although keep an eye on them as you approach the fishers, as this area is a popular salmon and fly-fishing spot!
